Elle fut victime des cruaut\u00e9s du r\u00e9gime stalinien &#8211;<em>son p\u00e8re et son mari furent ex\u00e9cut\u00e9s durant les purges staliniennes<\/em>&#8211; et rel\u00e9gu\u00e9s \u00e0 des t\u00e2ches obscures comme timbaliers ou pianiste accompagnatrice, avant d\u2019\u00eatre enfin autoris\u00e9e \u00e0 reprendre ses activit\u00e9s de soliste &#8211;<em>essentiellement \u00e0 travers toute l\u2019URSS<\/em>&#8211; et d\u2019enseignante. Son int\u00e9grale des sonates pour piano de Beethoven fut enregistr\u00e9e entre 1961 et 1974 et \u00e9dit\u00e9e par le label Melodiya, mal press\u00e9e sur des 33 tour m\u00e9diocres et sporadiquement import\u00e9e en Europe occidentale, o\u00f9 elle passa totalement inaper\u00e7ue.<br \/>\nLors de sa r\u00e9\u00e9dition en CD, j\u2019avais demand\u00e9 au disquaire allemand qui m\u2019approvisionnait r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement en disques rares, de me la procurer, et son commentaire, lui qui en prodiguait rarement, fut assez lapidaire : \u00ab <strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #000080;\">C\u2019est tr\u00e8s in\u00e9gal et tr\u00e8s contestable (ganz anfechtbar)<\/span><\/strong> \u00bb. Salu\u00e9e par la presse sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e fran\u00e7aise, critiqu\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re plus nuanc\u00e9e en Angleterre et surtout en Allemagne, cette int\u00e9grale contient <a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/des-gouts-et-des-couleurs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>de superbes moments<\/strong><\/span><\/a> et propose une vision violente, parfois trop, et abrupte, parfois trop, des sonates de Beethoven, sur des pianos souvent de pi\u00e8tre qualit\u00e9 et passablement enregistr\u00e9s. En tant que soliste, je n&rsquo;ai, dans ma discoth\u00e8que, que ce fabuleux enregistrement, en 1969, des deux premiers concerto pour violon de Paganini, o\u00f9 il brille de mille feux dans des oeuvres con\u00e7ues dans cet esprit. Vous pouvez l&rsquo;\u00e9couter en ligne <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OF9pWPPj0oI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ici<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<br \/>\nConcernant le deuxi\u00e8me concerto, je n&rsquo;ai jamais entendu mieux que cette version. Je n&rsquo;ai jamais trouv\u00e9 d&rsquo;autres enregistrement o\u00f9 il joue en tant que soliste &#8211;<em>il existe au moins, chez Deutsche Grammophon, un enregistrement des romances pour violon de Beethoven coupl\u00e9es avec un concerto de Mozart<\/em>-. Malgr\u00e9 tout son talent, il semble qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;ait jamais r\u00e9ellement ou durablement fait carri\u00e8re en tant que soliste. En revanche, il a beaucoup enregistr\u00e9 en tant que premier violon du quatuor Vermeer, qu&rsquo;il fonda en 1969, et il enseigne dans les plus grandes \u00e9coles des \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Je vous ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 parl\u00e9 il y a quelques temps de <strong>Gina Bachauer<\/strong> (1913-1976), qui est peut-\u00eatre bien la premi\u00e8re pianiste que j\u2019ai d\u00e9couverte &#8211;<em>sans le savoir<\/em>-, mon p\u00e8re \u00e9coutant tr\u00e8s souvent le 5\u00e8me concerto pour piano de Beethoven dans la version &#8211;<em>un peu oubli\u00e9e mais excellente<\/em>&#8211; que je vous pr\u00e9sentais dans <a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/playlist-retour-en-enfance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>cette pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente notule<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. Pianiste n\u00e9e grecque et naturalis\u00e9e britannique, elle fut c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e comme \u00ab la reine des pianistes \u00bb durant sa carri\u00e8re et couverte de gloire et d\u2019honneurs en Angleterre et aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Elle eut notamment la chance de pouvoir enregistrer sur un grand label r\u00e9put\u00e9 pour la qualit\u00e9 de ses prises de son, avec de tr\u00e8s bons orchestres et des chefs r\u00e9put\u00e9s ou en devenir.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Gina_Bachauer052024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12909\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Gina_Bachauer052024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Gina_Bachauer052024.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Gina_Bachauer052024-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Gina_Bachauer052024-768x426.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le disque de ce jour, consacr\u00e9 au 4\u00e8me concerto pour piano de Beethoven, est moins bon que celui proposant le cinqui\u00e8me concerto, du fait notamment d\u2019un accompagnement orchestral assez routinier et manquant de po\u00e9sie &#8211;<em>\u00e9tonnamment, Dorati, tr\u00e8s bon chef en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, semble assez peu \u00e0 l&rsquo;aise avec Beethoven : la r\u00e9\u00e9dition r\u00e9cente de l&rsquo;enregistrement int\u00e9gral des symphonies est tr\u00e8s d\u00e9cevante \u00e0 mes oreilles<\/em>-. Le meilleur moment de cet enregistrement est la tr\u00e8s belle cadence du premier mouvement, \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8Y0Fw47Vvlo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ici<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.
