Les titres qu&rsquo;il propose lors de ce concert proviennent logiquement de ces deux albums et sont abond\u00e9s de chansons \u00e9crites pour le Velvet Underground \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 60.<br \/>\nTotalement d\u00e9prim\u00e9, rong\u00e9 par les drogues et les abus de toutes sortes, physiquement tr\u00e8s amaigri et le cr\u00e2ne ras\u00e9, Lou Reed est entour\u00e9 d\u2019un groupe r\u00e9uni autour du guitariste \u00ab\u00a0chef d&rsquo;orchestre\u00a0\u00bb Steve Hunter : un second guitariste, Dick Wagner, vient l\u2019\u00e9pauler, et les duettistes sont soutenues par les claviers discr\u00e8tement pr\u00e9sents de Ray Colcord, la batterie pachydermique de Pentti Glan et la basse \u00e9tonnamment ductile et tr\u00e8s expressive de Prakash John. Ce groupe, qui deviendra bient\u00f4t celui d&rsquo;Alice Cooper pour l&rsquo;enregistrement de son album \u00ab\u00a0Welcome To My Nightmare\u00a0\u00bb, propose des versions glam-hard rock des chansons : Lou Reed n\u2019a plus qu\u2019\u00e0 d\u00e9poser ses paroles dans un style qu\u2019il affectionnera tout au long des ann\u00e9es 70, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la caricature parfois : un parl\u00e9-chant\u00e9 qui colle tant bien que mal au rythme et o\u00f9 la m\u00e9lodie est transform\u00e9e, voire d\u00e9form\u00e9e.
