La seconde partie, plus conventionnelle mais \u00e9galement belle, est d\u00e9nomm\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Songs Without Words\u00a0\u00bb.<br \/>\nA mes oreilles, c&rsquo;est, avec \u00ab\u00a0Paris 1919\u00a0\u00bb, le plus bel album du compositeur gallois, au sein d&rsquo;une discographie de l&rsquo;artiste tr\u00e8s personnelle et originale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Reed_ConeyIslandBaby.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-13064\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Reed_ConeyIslandBaby.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Reed_ConeyIslandBaby.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Reed_ConeyIslandBaby-300x298.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Reed_ConeyIslandBaby-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Reed_ConeyIslandBaby-768x763.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Reed_ConeyIslandBaby-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>\u2022 <\/strong>Lou Reed, pur produit de l&rsquo;intelligentsia new-yorkaise, donne lui aussi \u00e0 entendre, avec \u00ab\u00a0<strong>New York<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb un de ses meilleurs albums &#8211;<em>sa discographie est tr\u00e8s in\u00e9gale, au gr\u00e9 de ses changements d&rsquo;humeur et de son instabilit\u00e9 : ici, il semble avoir trouv\u00e9 une certaine s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9<\/em>&#8211; o\u00f9, dans une ambiance assez apais\u00e9e finalement, il d\u00e9crit pourtant certains des aspects les plus sordides de la Grosse Pomme gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses habituelles habilit\u00e9s de conteur.<br \/>\nLou Reed avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 consacr\u00e9 un album \u00e0 sa ville natale avec l&rsquo;excellent \u00ab\u00a0Coney Island\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2022 <\/strong>Avant les obs\u00e8ques d&rsquo;Andy Warhol &#8211;<em>qui fut le manager du Velvet Underground \u00e0 ses d\u00e9buts et un important soutien financier<\/em>-, les deux hommes ne s&rsquo;\u00e9taient plus parl\u00e9s depuis l&rsquo;\u00e9viction de John Cale du groupe, en particulier du fait de l&rsquo;ego surdimensionn\u00e9 de Lou Reed. Ils surent mettre de c\u00f4t\u00e9 temporairement leurs diff\u00e9rends pour composer ce tr\u00e8s bel album-hommage \u00e0 Andy Warhol : \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Songs For Drella<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0, Drella \u00e9tant l&rsquo;un des surnoms du ma\u00eetre du Pop-Art donn\u00e9 par ses disciples a sein de la Factory.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/AWarhol072024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13058\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/AWarhol072024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/AWarhol072024.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/AWarhol072024-300x118.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/AWarhol072024-768x302.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Musicalement, l&rsquo;ambiance est beaucoup plus apais\u00e9e qu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque du Velvet Underground, et l&rsquo;instrumentarium r\u00e9duit au piano et au l&rsquo;alto de John Cale ainsi qu&rsquo;\u00e0 la guitare de Lou Reed &#8211;<em>+ quelques p\u00e9dales d&rsquo;effets et pas mal de r\u00e9verb\u00e9ration<\/em>-. Les deux artistes se partagent le chant pour d\u00e9crire quelques aspects marquants de la vie et de la personnalit\u00e9 de Warhol. Leur collaboration se r\u00e9duisit \u00e0 cet album et \u00e0 quelques concerts qui suivirent, mais John Cale avait annonc\u00e9 tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t qu&rsquo;il ne voulait plus travailler avec Lou Reed pour d&rsquo;autres \u00e9ventuels projets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Au final, une tr\u00e8s belle playlist dominicale, qu&rsquo;il est possible de prolonger sans qu&rsquo;elle perde sa coh\u00e9rence avec les deux albums alternatifs cit\u00e9s dans la notule \u00a0!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uSxRN0pNciA?si=YFeddwV_0Ee8omoo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La playlist du jour est d\u2019une \u00e9vidente coh\u00e9rence th\u00e9matique !
