Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une pi\u00e8ce regroupant 12 miniatures contrast\u00e9es et reli\u00e9es par des motifs th\u00e9matiques, inspir\u00e9es par le roman \u00ab\u00a0Flegeljahre\u00a0\u00bb de Johann Paul Friedrich Richter, dit <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jean_Paul\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Jean Paul<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, \u00e9crivain embl\u00e9matique du romantisme allemand.<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Carnaval, op. 9 (1835)<\/strong> &#8211; Wilhelm Kempff. Carnaval est une suite de 21 pi\u00e8ces repr\u00e9sentant des personnages r\u00e9els ou imaginaires, et qui introduit deux personnages r\u00e9currents dans les \u00e9crits de Schumann : le temp\u00e9tueux Florestan et le r\u00eaveur Eusebius, soit les deux facettes du compositeur.<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 \u00c9tudes symphoniques, op. 13 (1834-1837)<\/strong> &#8211; Geza Anda. Schumann a compos\u00e9 ces variations sur un th\u00e8me du baron von Fricken. Elles sont d&rsquo;une tr\u00e8s grande virtuosit\u00e9 qui n&rsquo;exclut pas la po\u00e9sie pour autant. La version de Geza Anda est particuli\u00e8rement brillante. A contrario, la version de Wilhelm Kempff est assez besogneuse et j&rsquo;ai du mal \u00e0 comprendre les critiques tr\u00e8s positives lues ici ou l\u00e0 sur son interpr\u00e9tation de cette belle oeuvre : \u00e0 mon avis, le pianiste &#8211;<em>pr\u00e8s de 80 ans \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque de l&rsquo;enregistrement<\/em>&#8211; n&rsquo;avait sans doute plus les doigts pour la jouer&#8230;<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Kinderszenen, op. 15 (1838)<\/strong> &#8211; Martha Argerich.<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Kreisleriana, op. 16 (1838)<\/strong> &#8211; Martha Argerich. Le disque de Marha Argerich est tout simplement merveilleux, c&rsquo;est l&rsquo;un de mes tout premiers CD de piano, et j&rsquo;ai toujours beaucoup aim\u00e9 les Kinderszenen et leur tr\u00e8s c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00ab\u00a0Pays merveilleux\u00a0\u00bb introductif.<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Fantaisie en ut majeur, op. 17 (1836-1838)<\/strong> &#8211; Geza Anda. La fantaisie est une autre oeuvre ambitieuse de grande dimension, influenc\u00e9e par Beethoven, qui requiert virtuosit\u00e9 et abattage : tout ce dont faire preuve Geza Anda.<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Sc\u00e8nes de la for\u00eat, op. 82 (1848-1849)<\/strong> &#8211; Wilhelm Kempff. Les sc\u00e8nes de la for\u00eat sont constitu\u00e9es de huit petits tableaux po\u00e9tiques et intimistes.
