J\u2019ai exclu la sixi\u00e8me symphonie de Mahler, achev\u00e9e en 1904 et \u00e9cout\u00e9e tr\u00e8s r\u00e9cemment, de cette playlist. Malgr\u00e9 le succ\u00e8s initial rencontr\u00e9 lors de sa cr\u00e9ation, l\u2019accueil critique ult\u00e9rieur r\u00e9serv\u00e9 \u00e0 cette symphonie n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s favorable : elle fut jug\u00e9e trop d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibr\u00e9e. Nonobstant, \u00e0 mes oreilles, le mouvement initial est r\u00e9ellement tr\u00e8s beau. Mariss Jansons, qui fut \u00e0 la fois assistant de Karajan et de Mravinski, cr\u00e9ateur de la symphonie, a grav\u00e9 pour EMI une int\u00e9grale des symphonies de Shostakovich tout au long des ann\u00e9es 90 et jusqu\u2019au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000, avec divers orchestres. Ses meilleures r\u00e9ussites, dont cette sixi\u00e8me symphonie, sont enregistr\u00e9es avec l\u2019excellent orchestre philharmonique d\u2019Oslo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2022 Prokofiev<\/strong>, Symphonie n\u00b06 &#8211; Orchestre philharmonique de Bergen, Andrew Litton &#8211; 1994 <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>****<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nCette symphonie a \u00e9t\u00e9 compos\u00e9e \u00e0 la sortie de la guerre, entre 1945 et 1947, en m\u00e9moire des victimes et des destructions du conflit. Comme celle de Shostakovich, elle ne comporte que trois mouvements et pr\u00e9sente un caract\u00e8re relativement aust\u00e8re ; pour moi, elle reste d\u2019un acc\u00e8s plus difficile que les symphonies les plus populaires du compositeur. La prise de son de la version du jour est exceptionnelle et rend parfaitement justice \u00e0 l\u2019orchestration de Prokofiev. L&rsquo;orchestre de Bergen est aussi exceptionnel que celui d&rsquo;Oslo !<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2022 Sibelius,<\/strong> Symphonie n\u00b06 &#8211; Philharmonia Orchestra, Herbert Von Karajan &#8211; 1955 <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>*****<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nA mes oreilles, la plus belle de toutes les sixi\u00e8mes symphonies du r\u00e9pertoire est celle de Sibelius, avant m\u00eame la \u00ab\u00a0Pastorale\u00a0\u00bb de Beethoven. En quatre mouvements, elle est achev\u00e9e en 1923 et se r\u00e9v\u00e8le tr\u00e8s accessible \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9coute : une v\u00e9ritable ode \u00e0 la nature finlandaise, qui rappelait \u00e0 Sibelius \u00ab\u00a0l&rsquo;odeur de la premi\u00e8re neige\u00a0\u00bb. Karajan aimait tant cette symphonie qu&rsquo;il la donna r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement en concert d\u00e8s 1938, alors qu&rsquo;il \u00e9tait encore en poste \u00e0 Aachen. Il l&rsquo;enregistra trois fois, et c&rsquo;est sa premi\u00e8re version, tr\u00e8s po\u00e9tique, que j&rsquo;\u00e9coute aujourd&rsquo;hui.
