Goebel &#8211; 1984<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> ****<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Georg Philipp Telemann, compositeur prolifique exact contemporain de Handel et de Bach &#8211;<em>qu\u2019il d\u00e9crivait comme \u00ab\u00a0le compositeur qui contrepointe \u00e0 tire-larigot\u00a0\u00bb\u2026<\/em>-, a \u00e9crit cette Wassermusik \u00e0 Hambourg, o\u00f9 il s\u00e9journa \u00e0 partir de 1721. Tr\u00e8s c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00e0 son \u00e9poque et beaucoup plus appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 que Bach en son temps, il fut l&rsquo;un des premiers \u00e0 pouvoir vivre avec aisance de son art. L\u2019oeuvre, qui s\u2019\u00e9coute tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9ablement, fut cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1723 \u00e0 l\u2019occasion des c\u00e9l\u00e9brations du centenaire de l\u2019amiraut\u00e9 de Hambourg. Wassermusik se pr\u00e9sente comme une suite de danses inspir\u00e9e par l\u2019Elbe : Hambourg est situ\u00e9e \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de l\u2019embouchure du fleuve dans la Mer du Nord. La version de Reinhard Goebel a \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9e en 1984 : ce chef, violoniste et fondateur de l\u2019orchestre Musica Antiqua K\u00f6ln est l\u2019un des initiateurs du renouveau baroque en Allemagne, et, \u00e0 ce titre, contribua tr\u00e8s largement \u00e0 la red\u00e9couverte de tr\u00e8s nombreuses oeuvres orchestrales de Telemann &#8211;<em>une douzaine de disques au moins<\/em>-. Ses jardins sont bord\u00e9s de tr\u00e8s nombreuses fontaines. Franz Liszt, compositeur g\u00e9n\u00e9reux, cultiv\u00e9 et sympathique, arch\u00e9type de l&rsquo;artiste romantique, y s\u00e9journa lorsqu&rsquo;il se retira quelque peu du monde, en 1869, apr\u00e8s avoir re\u00e7u les ordres mineurs et connu gloire, succ\u00e8s &#8211;<em>ce fut le plus grand pianiste de son temps<\/em>&#8211; et r\u00e9ussite tout au long de sa vie : l&rsquo;oeuvre fait partie du troisi\u00e8me volume des \u00ab\u00a0Ann\u00e9es de p\u00e8lerinage\u00a0\u00bb, cycle destin\u00e9 \u00e0 illustrer au piano les impressions de voyage du compositeur en Suisse et en Italie et les lectures de ces ann\u00e9es : Platon, Byron, Schiller, P\u00e9trarque ou Dante. Les \u00ab\u00a0jeux d&rsquo;eau \u00e0 la Villa d&rsquo;Este\u00a0\u00bb sont une pi\u00e8ce d&rsquo;une virtuosit\u00e9 peu ostentatoire, qui ont eu une influence certaines sur les compositeurs \u00ab\u00a0impressionnistes\u00a0\u00bb fran\u00e7ais. La version de ce jour est celle de Jorge Bolet, pianiste cubain qui, au soir de sa carri\u00e8re, consacra une assez large anthologie \u00e0 Franz Liszt au d\u00e9tour des ann\u00e9es 80, laquelle connut un tr\u00e8s grand succ\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u2022 George Frideric Handel<\/strong> &#8211; Water Music &#8211; The English Concert, T. Pinnock &#8211; 1983 <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>*****<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La \u00ab\u00a0Water Music\u00a0\u00bb de Handel, autre compositeur qui connut gloire, succ\u00e8s, ruine et finalement fortune &#8211;<em>\u00e0 sa mort, sa fortune \u00e9tait estim\u00e9e \u00e0 5 000 000 \u00a3 (valeur 2025)<\/em>-, est une oeuvre remarquablement populaire &#8211;<em>avec \u00ab\u00a0Messiah\u00a0\u00bb, c&rsquo;est de loin la composition la plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre de Handel<\/em>-. Elle est compos\u00e9e de 19 pi\u00e8ces de danse r\u00e9parties en trois suites, jou\u00e9es le plus souvent dans cet ordre : fa majeur, r\u00e9 majeur et sol majeur, et qui mettent en avant cors, fl\u00fbtes et trompettes. Oeuvre \u00e9clatante \u00e9crite en deux temps : les suites n\u00b01 et 2 furent compos\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;occasion d&rsquo;une procession festive royale, en barque sur la Tamise en 1717 ; la suite n\u00b03 est plus tardive, et fut \u00e9crite en 1736 pour le mariage du prince de Galle. L&rsquo;orchestre embarqu\u00e9 \u00e9tait compos\u00e9e de 50 musiciens, ce qui \u00e9tait consid\u00e9rable pour l&rsquo;\u00e9poque. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une oeuvre tr\u00e8s accessible et brillante, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9e, de tous temps, \u00e0 de tr\u00e8s nombreuses reprises, et par les plus grands chefs. Jusqu&rsquo;au \u00ab\u00a0renouveau baroque\u00a0\u00bb, elle \u00e9tait enregistr\u00e9e dans l&rsquo;orchestration arrang\u00e9e en 1920 par Hamilton Harty, pour grand orchestre symphonique, ce qui contribuait \u00e0 d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibrer l&rsquo;oeuvre.
