Mais, apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9crit \u00ab La mer \u00bb, il r\u00e9visa profond\u00e9ment son jugement, consid\u00e9rant qu\u2019elle constituait \u00ab l\u2019un des meilleurs mod\u00e8les de m\u00e9canique expressive : ce Beethoven, quel g\u00e9nie ! \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Faute de voir la mer cet \u00e9t\u00e9 &#8211;<em>\u00e7a sera plut\u00f4t tout \u00e0 la fin de l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 ou en automne cette ann\u00e9e<\/em>&#8211; la playlist de ce jour propose trois versions anciennes de \u00ab\u00a0La mer\u00a0\u00bb, ces trois esquisses symphoniques pour orchestre, achev\u00e9es en 1905, essentiellement descriptives &#8211;<em><strong>1.<\/strong> De l\u2019aube \u00e0 midi sur la mer ; <strong>2.<\/strong> Jeux de vague ; <strong>3.<\/strong> Dialogue du vent et de la mer<\/em>-, \u00e0 l\u2019instar de la symphonie pastorale\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019oeuvre, \u00e0 sa cr\u00e9ation, fut mal re\u00e7ue, le critique du journal Le Temps, Pierre Lalo, \u00e9crivant notamment : \u00ab\u00a0Je n\u2019entends pas, je ne vois pas, je ne sens pas la mer\u00a0\u00bb, et un autre critique parisien remarqua que en parlant des auditeurs pr\u00e9sents <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #333399;\"><strong>\u00ab\u00a0\u2026 Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 servis avec de l\u2019eau agit\u00e9e dans une soucoupe\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/span>. Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, les premi\u00e8res r\u00e9actions ne furent pas plus favorables : \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"color: #333399; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>\u2026 l\u2019oc\u00e9an du compositeur est un \u00e9tang \u00e0 grenouilles, dont certaines \u00e9taient entr\u00e9es dans la gorge des cuivres<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb. Mais, par la suite, l&rsquo;oeuvre rencontra un beau succ\u00e8s, tant au concert qu&rsquo;au disque &#8211;<em>c&rsquo;est assur\u00e9ment l&rsquo;oeuvre la plus enregistr\u00e9e du compositeur<\/em>-.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">J&rsquo;ai mis longtemps \u00e0 accrocher \u00e0 ce compositeur et \u00e0 cette oeuvre, que j&rsquo;appr\u00e9cie \u00e9norm\u00e9ment d\u00e9sormais et qui est tr\u00e8s bien repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e dans ma discoth\u00e8que. Les trois albums de cette playlist nocturne constituent chacun d\u2019excellentes propositions \u00e0 plus d\u2019un titre, et les compl\u00e9ments sont tous de belle qualit\u00e9 \u00e9galement.
