Parfois, pour le m\u00eame enregistrement, les matrices de 78 tours employ\u00e9es et le remastering sont diff\u00e9rents : les r\u00e9sultats produits peuvent s&rsquo;av\u00e9rer tr\u00e8s variables, et, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, les remast\u00e9risations les plus r\u00e9centes sont les meilleures : les ing\u00e9nieurs du son ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9normes progr\u00e8s dans le traitement des enregistrements anciens.<br \/>\nOn trouve parmi ces antiques archives, tous les grands noms du chant wagn\u00e9rien du vingti\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, issus de deux p\u00e9riodes charni\u00e8res :<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2022 celle de l&rsquo;entre-deux guerres mondiales<\/strong> souvent estampill\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0\u00c2ge d&rsquo;or du chant wagn\u00e9rien\u00a0\u00bb, o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on trouve, parmi d&rsquo;authentiques tr\u00e9sors, quelques curiosit\u00e9s comme des extraits du \u00ab\u00a0Vaisseau fant\u00f4me\u00a0\u00bb, de \u00ab\u00a0Lohengrin\u00a0\u00bb ou de \u00ab\u00a0La Walkyrie\u00a0\u00bb en Fran\u00e7ais, dans des traductions qui pr\u00eatent parfois \u00e0 sourire, ou encore des extraits de \u00ab\u00a0Lohengrin\u00a0\u00bb en Italien &#8211;<em>c\u2019est sans doute l\u2019op\u00e9ra de Wagner qui se pr\u00eate le mieux \u00e0 ce traitement tr\u00e8s \u00ab\u00a0bel canto\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>-.
