Mais, pris individuellement, chacun est <em>a minima<\/em> un bon disque, et souvent mieux que \u00e7a. Je garde personnellement une pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour son fameux triptyque des ann\u00e9es 60 : \u00ab <strong>The Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton<\/strong> \u00bb &#8211;<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em>1966<\/em><\/span>-, \u00ab <strong>A Hard Road<\/strong> \u00bb &#8211;<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em>1967<\/em><\/span>&#8211; et \u00ab <strong>Crusade<\/strong> \u00bb &#8211;<em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">1967<\/span><\/em>&#8211; et, surtout, pour \u00ab <strong>Blues From Laurel Canyon<\/strong> \u00bb &#8211;<em style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">1968, <\/em><em>sans les Bluesbreakers, momentan\u00e9ment dissous \u00e0 cette date, mais avec Mick Taylor (<span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">guitare solo et slide<\/span>), Colin Allen (<span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">batterie)<\/span> et Stephen Thomson (<span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">basse<\/span>)<\/em>-, -, son meilleur album \u00e0 mes oreilles, t\u00e9moignage de son installation \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re en Californie, o\u00f9 il avait \u00e9lu domicile dans une cabane dans les arbres !<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/GibsonLesPaul60s_022026.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-16935\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/GibsonLesPaul60s_022026-107x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"45\" height=\"125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/GibsonLesPaul60s_022026-107x300.jpg 107w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/GibsonLesPaul60s_022026.jpg 185w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 45px) 100vw, 45px\" \/><\/a>Croyez-le encore ou non, chaque guitariste pass\u00e9 au sein des Bluesbreakers a \u00e9t\u00e9 plus ou moins profond\u00e9ment brouill\u00e9 \u00e0 un moment de sa carri\u00e8re avec ce mentor dot\u00e9 d\u2019un caract\u00e8re tyrannique et, selon de nombreux t\u00e9moignages, assez \u00e9pouvantable ! <strong>Pendant la majorit\u00e9 de sa tr\u00e8s longue carri\u00e8re, John Mayall a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9clips\u00e9 par les artistes propuls\u00e9s par son \u00ab acad\u00e9mie de blues \u00bb,<\/strong> ainsi qu\u2019il appelait les Bluesbreakers, et il semble qu\u2019il en ait gard\u00e9 quelque rancoeur.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dans <strong>\u00ab Wake Up Call \u00bb<\/strong>, John Mayall est accompagn\u00e9 de David Grissom &#8211;<em>guitare rythmique<\/em>&#8211; et Coco Montoya &#8211;<em>guitare<\/em>-, Rick Cortes &#8211;<em>basse<\/em>&#8211; et Jon Yuele &#8211;<em>batterie<\/em>-. Parmi ses prestigieux invit\u00e9s figurent les guitaristes <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Buddy_Guy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Buddy Guy<\/strong><\/a><\/span> pour un titre et Mick Taylor pour deux morceaux, dont la chanson \u00e9ponyme &#8211;<em>cf. extrait<\/em>-.
