La playlist de ce jour va \u00e0 l\u2019encontre de ce reproche : il enregistra plus qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y para\u00eet des programmes de musiciens contemporains de son \u00e9poque. Outre le fabuleux coffret consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la seconde \u00e9cole de Vienne &#8211;<em>Berg &#8211; Sch\u00f6nberg &#8211; Webern<\/em>&#8211; dont il \u00e9tait si fier et qu\u2019il auto-finan\u00e7a, il enregistra quelques oeuvres qu\u2019il jugeait essentielles de ses contemporains, lui qui \u00e9tait n\u00e9 en 1908, et qui fut notamment marqu\u00e9 par deux guerres mondiales, mais aussi par la guerre froide en tant que r\u00e9sident r\u00e9gulier \u00e0 Berlin apr\u00e8s 1950.<br \/>\nCette playlist en est une tr\u00e8s belle illustration. Durant les derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es du r\u00e9gime stalinien, le compositeur avait eu \u00e0 subir des critiques incessantes et se sentait particuli\u00e8rement oppress\u00e9, voire craignait pour sa vie. Cette symphonie, o\u00f9 le sinistre c\u00f4toie une fin plus optimiste, est r\u00e9v\u00e9latrice de ces angoisses.<br \/>\nKarajan n\u2019enregistra que cette seule symphonie de Shostakovich, \u00e0 deux reprises : les deux enregistrements &#8211;<em>1966 ; 1981<\/em>&#8211; sont remarquables et l\u2019orchestre et son chef touchent \u00e0 la perfection ! Il l\u2019interpr\u00e9ta aussi \u00e0 Moscou, lors d\u2019une tourn\u00e9e en 1969, devant un compositeur \u00e9mu aux larmes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"background-color: #fcfba4;\"><strong>\u2022 Serge Prokofiev<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; Symphonie n\u00b05 &#8211; 1945<br \/>\nOrchestre philharmonique de Berlin, Karajan &#8211; 1968<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong> *****<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Symphonie la plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre de Prokofiev &#8211;<em><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">\u00e9criture internationale<\/span><\/em>-, il s\u2019agit d\u2019une oeuvre de guerre qui marque la victoire des troupes sovi\u00e9tiques sur l\u2019Allemagne selon le discours officiel de l\u2019\u00e9poque : elle connut un accueil triomphal. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, le compositeur voulait exprimer toute autre chose, comme il en t\u00e9moigna plus tard.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>\u00abElle couronne en quelque sorte toute une p\u00e9riode de mon travail ; je l&rsquo;ai pens\u00e9e comme une \u0153uvre glorifiant l&rsquo;\u00e2me humaine. Dans la 5e Symphonie, j&rsquo;ai voulu chanter l&rsquo;homme libre et heureux, sa force, sa g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 et la puret\u00e9 de son \u00e2me. Ces symphonies suivent un sch\u00e9ma original en trois mouvement seulement, et sont relativement courtes : entre 20 et 30 minutes chacune. La deuxi\u00e8me symphonie est de caract\u00e8re sombre et tr\u00e8s dramatique, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 une \u00e9claircie finale.
