C\u2019est en tout cas le premier v\u00e9ritable chef-d\u2019oeuvre du genre qui soit rest\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;histoire. La version \u00e9cout\u00e9e ce dimanche est celle enregistr\u00e9e par Nicolaus Harnoncourt en 1968. &#8211;<em>Cliquer sur l&rsquo;image pour la voir en plus grand<\/em>-.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&rsquo;oeuvre, en cinq courts actes, fut compos\u00e9e vers 1607 pour la cour du duc de Mantoue, o\u00f9 elle fut repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois. La premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition de la partition par le compositeur date de 1609. Auparavant, cependant, des pi\u00e8ces de <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Camerata_fiorentina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><em>camerata fiorentina<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a> se donnaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 pour objectif de recr\u00e9er la trag\u00e9die grecque antique avec un support musical.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le livret est d&rsquo;Alessandro Striggio, qui s&rsquo;est inspir\u00e9 des \u00ab\u00a0M\u00e9tamorphoses\u00a0\u00bb d&rsquo;Ovide et de \u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;\u00c9n\u00e9ide\u00a0\u00bb de Virgile. Vous trouverez <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/L%27Orfeo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ici une tr\u00e8s bonne notice<\/strong><\/span><\/a> \u00e0 propos de l&rsquo;oeuvre, bien plus compl\u00e8te et d\u00e9taill\u00e9e que la notule que je pourrais \u00e9crire. L&rsquo;argument mythologique est par ailleurs c\u00e9l\u00e8bre &#8211;<em>Orph\u00e9e essaie en vain de ramener son \u00e9pouse Eurydice des enfers<\/em>-, m\u00eame si la fin est modifi\u00e9e dans l&rsquo;op\u00e9ra : Orph\u00e9e n&rsquo;est pas tu\u00e9 par les Bacchantes, mais transport\u00e9 au ciel par Apollon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La version de Nicolaus Harnoncourt fit sensation lors de sa sortie en 1968 parce qu&rsquo;elle \u00e9tait enregistr\u00e9e selon le courant \u00ab\u00a0historiquement inform\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb alors naissant, et tr\u00e8s vite d\u00e9nigr\u00e9 comme \u00ab\u00a0mouvement baroqueux\u00a0\u00bb par nombre de musicographes et de m\u00e9lomanes peu charitables ! C&rsquo;est un enchantement du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l&rsquo;orchestre. En revanche, pour Hindemith, une voix humaine \u00e9tant une voix humaine que ce soit au 16\u00e8me si\u00e8cle ou au 20\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, il n&rsquo;y avait <\/span><span style=\"caret-color: #707070; font-size: 14.666667px;\">pas<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"> de raison pour qu&rsquo;elle ait \u00e9volu\u00e9 notablement, et ses chanteurs, s&rsquo;ils sont bons, ne livrent pas vraiment une interpr\u00e9tation historiquement inform\u00e9e, les connaissances \u00e9tant alors encore peu avanc\u00e9e en mati\u00e8re de style vocal.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ainsi, la version de ce jour peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme la premi\u00e8re version <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">compl\u00e8tement<\/span> \u00ab\u00a0HIP\u00a0\u00bb d&rsquo;un op\u00e9ra et l&rsquo;un des tout premiers disques parus selon ces pr\u00e9ceptes. Elle demeure d&rsquo;autant plus importante qu&rsquo;elle est par ailleurs tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussie, tant orchestralement que vocalement !
