Il aimait Satie et Scriabin, Liszt et Busoni, et, dans les traces de ce dernier, composa des oeuvres d&rsquo;une complexit\u00e9 inou\u00efe pour le piano, ainsi que quelques pi\u00e8ces pour orgue et de musique de chambre. Certaines de\u00a0ses compostions sont d&rsquo;une longueur qui exc\u00e8de la dur\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement admise en musique classique et n\u00e9cessitent une pr\u00e9paration intense des interpr\u00e8tes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SorabjiPartition.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3951\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-3951\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SorabjiPartition.jpg\" alt=\"SorabjiPartition\" width=\"300\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SorabjiPartition.jpg 950w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SorabjiPartition-300x186.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SorabjiPartition-768x475.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Selon les t\u00e9moignages de son \u00e9poque, Sorabji fut un pianiste magnifique ou tr\u00e8s moyen : il interpr\u00e9ta parfois ses oeuvres, sans doute avec beaucoup de fausses notes, et n&rsquo;apparut que tr\u00e8s sporadiquement en public.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00ab\u00a0Opus Clavicembalisticum\u00a0\u00bb est une oeuvre pour piano achev\u00e9e\u00a0en 1930, et dont la composition demanda deux ans, ce qui est relativement bref pour une pi\u00e8ce de cette ampleur et de cette complexit\u00e9.\u00a0\u00a0Elles reste\u00a0tr\u00e8s peu jou\u00e9e dans son\u00a0int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 au concert &#8211;<em>moins de 20 fois dans sa totalit\u00e9<\/em>&#8211; et aussi peu enregistr\u00e9e &#8211;<em>je n&rsquo;ai identifi\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0que\u00a0\u00bb quatre versions int\u00e9grales<\/em>-. Elle est compos\u00e9e de trois parties, elles-m\u00eames divis\u00e9es en fugues, interludes et autres pr\u00e9lude ou fantaisie-. Le manuscrit est d&rsquo;une pr\u00e9cision maniaque et, visuellement, la partition est tr\u00e8s belle \u00e0 regarder &#8211;<em>cliquer sur l&rsquo;image pour la voir en plus grand<\/em>-.
