Les po\u00e8mes symphonique de Richard Strauss profitaient grandement de cette vision ample, fond\u00e9e sur des timbres et des couleurs d\u2019une beaut\u00e9 inapproch\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque de la parution de cet album &#8211;<em>1973<\/em>-.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/R_Strauss1888.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4931\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/R_Strauss1888.jpg\" alt=\"r_strauss1888\" width=\"200\" height=\"261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/R_Strauss1888.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/R_Strauss1888-230x300.jpg 230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 essentiellement de pages \u00ab\u00a0de jeunesse\u00a0\u00bb du compositeur, toutes \u00e9crites avant qu\u2019il ait 30 ans. Son Don Juan est inspir\u00e9 de fragments de la pi\u00e8ce inachev\u00e9e de <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nikolaus_Lenau\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Nikolaus Lenau<\/strong><\/span><\/a> et non de Moli\u00e8re ou de Mozart : Don Juan renonce \u00e0 sa qu\u00eate de la femme id\u00e9ale et, lass\u00e9 de la vie, d\u00e9cide de se laisser tuer lors d\u2019un duel. <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Till_l%27Espi\u00e8gle_(Strauss)\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Till Eulenspiege<\/strong><strong>l<\/strong><\/span><\/a> est un personnage r\u00e9current de la litt\u00e9rature allemande dont la premi\u00e8re \u00e9mergence remonterait au tout d\u00e9but du 16\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Vivant au Moyen-\u00c2ge, c\u2019est un joyeux farceur qui s\u2019inscrit contre les normes \u00e9tablies et en mourra sur le gibet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gilbert Kaplan, qui dirige la deuxi\u00e8me symphonie de <strong>Gustav Mahler<\/strong>, n\u2019\u00e9tait pas un chef d\u2019orchestre, mais un richissime homme d\u2019affaire am\u00e9ricain qui tomba amoureux de cette symphonie. Il en acheta le manuscrit autographe, prit quelques cours de direction d&rsquo;orchestre et\u00a0 loua ponctuellement les meilleurs orchestres mondiaux pour ne diriger <strong>que<\/strong> cette oeuvre une cinquantaine de fois &#8211;<em>et, une fois, l\u2019Adagietto de la cinqui\u00e8me symphonie<\/em>-.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/G_Mahler_29102016.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4934\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/G_Mahler_29102016.jpg\" alt=\"g_mahler_29102016\" width=\"200\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/G_Mahler_29102016.jpg 238w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/G_Mahler_29102016-206x300.jpg 206w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Il enregistra deux fois cette symphonie, la version \u00e9cout\u00e9e est la seconde, avec l\u2019orchestre philharmonique de Vienne. Ces deux versions furent appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e par les critiques, et sont peut-\u00eatre les versions les plus philologiques de cette symphonie complexe. Quant aux musiciens, leur appr\u00e9ciation du chef est assez divergente : pour certains, c\u2019\u00e9tait un chef acceptable, pour d\u2019autres, il \u00e9tait tout simplement nul et ne savait pas diriger ! Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, la prise de son de cet album est une des meilleures jamais r\u00e9alis\u00e9e : elle est tout bonnement exceptionnelle !<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les sonates pour piano et violoncelle de <strong>Beethoven<\/strong> par Pierre Fournier et Friedrich Gulda ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9es en 1959 et, depuis cette date, ont un statut de \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9f\u00e9rence\u00a0\u00bb qui ne s\u2019est jamais d\u00e9menti : l\u2019\u00e9quilibre entre les deux instruments, difficile \u00e0 obtenir, est id\u00e9al.
