Tr\u00e8s r\u00e9put\u00e9 au d\u00e9but de sa carri\u00e8re dans son pays, il s&rsquo;est cantonn\u00e9 \u00e0 un style post-romantique qui l&rsquo;a peu \u00e0 peu fait sombrer dans l&rsquo;oubli. Ses deux symphonies, n\u00e9anmoins, sont tout-\u00e0-fait estimables. <strong>Kurt Atterberg<\/strong> est un musicien su\u00e9dois grosso modo contemporain de Sibelius, qui produisit notamment 9 symphonies &#8211;<em>comme Beethoven, Bruckner ou Mahler\u2026<\/em>-, l\u00e0 encore dans une veine post-romantique assez affirm\u00e9e, o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on peut trouver une belle verve m\u00e9lodique : c&rsquo;est souvent tr\u00e8s bien, rarement exceptionnel &#8211;<em>cf. extrait 1<\/em>-. <strong>Jon Leifs<\/strong> est presque son exact contemporain : islandais, sa musique est nettement plus hardie et \u00e9voque, par moments, de la bonne musique de film. Une belle d\u00e9couverte !<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-7256-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Extrait1_27122017.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Extrait1_27122017.mp3\">https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Extrait1_27122017.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2022 Quant aux autres, il s&rsquo;agit de \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9couvertes relatives\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> : les oeuvres pour piano d&rsquo;<strong>Einojuhani Rautavaara<\/strong> gagneraient \u00e0 \u00eatre mieux enregistr\u00e9es, sans doute, que dans cette version o\u00f9 le piano peine \u00e0 s&rsquo;exprimer &#8211;<em>la firme, \u00e0 tr\u00e8s petit prix, n&rsquo;a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9put\u00e9e pour ses prises de son de piano, opaques, r\u00e9verb\u00e9r\u00e9es et un peu brouillonnes<\/em>-. Le meilleur y c\u00f4toie le moins int\u00e9ressant, on passe d&rsquo;un piano statique et r\u00e9flexif \u00e0 des passages plus sonores et presque clinquants &#8211;<em>cf. extrait 2<\/em>-. <strong>Telemann<\/strong> et <strong>Purcell<\/strong> ne m&rsquo;\u00e9taient bien \u00e9videmment pas inconnus, mais, en d\u00e9finitive, je les connais assez mal, notamment le second, et l&rsquo;\u00e9coute de ce disque m&rsquo;a r\u00e9serv\u00e9 de jolies surprises. Enfin, <strong>Ticho Parly<\/strong>, grand t\u00e9nor wagn\u00e9rien, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiait d&rsquo;une belle aura aupr\u00e8s des amateurs du compositeur, mais ses enregistrements \u00e9taient quasiment introuvables, avant cette r\u00e9\u00e9dition, dans une tr\u00e8s belle collection : la d\u00e9couverte est \u00e0 la hauteur de mon attente et de sa r\u00e9putation !<\/p>\n<audio
