Et pas n&rsquo;importe lequel, puisqu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit du tout premier, dans ce genre fort peu prolixe : <strong>\u00ab\u00a0Tommy\u00a0\u00bb, by The Who. <\/strong><em>-Cliquer sur l&rsquo;image pour la voir en plus grand-.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pendant longtemps, j&rsquo;avais laiss\u00e9 cet album en jach\u00e8re, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant, et de loin, la version \u00ab\u00a0avec coupures\u00a0\u00bb que les Who jouaient en live \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque de leur tourn\u00e9e 1970-1971, et dont on retrouve d\u00e9sormais trace dans l&rsquo;excellent \u00ab\u00a0Live At Leeds\u00a0\u00bb en \u00e9dition Super Deluxe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cependant, je voulais redonner une chance \u00e0 la version \u00ab\u00a0officielle\u00a0\u00bb de cet opus, paru en 1969. Finalement, j&rsquo;ai bien fait ! Tout n&rsquo;est pas g\u00e9nial dans cet album, mais la construction musicale en est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussie, malgr\u00e9 les invraisemblances du \u00ab\u00a0livret\u00a0\u00bb et quelques longueurs ici ou l\u00e0. L&rsquo;ensemble est r\u00e9ellement con\u00e7u comme un \u00ab\u00a0vrai\u00a0\u00bb op\u00e9ra, avec une ouverture, un interlude purement orchestral, une vraie progression dramatique et un final en apoth\u00e9ose &#8211;<em>cf. extrait ci-dessous<\/em>-. Musicalement, c&rsquo;est souvent tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussi &#8211;<em>avec quelques \u00ab\u00a0airs\u00a0\u00bb qui constituent de vrais points forts, comme \u00ab\u00a0Pinball Wizzard\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0The Acid Queen\u00a0\u00bb ou encore \u00ab\u00a0I&rsquo;m Free\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>&#8211; et fort bien interpr\u00e9t\u00e9, avec, en particulier, un John Entwistle qui tient prodigieusement la baraque harmoniquement &#8211;<em>et a orchestr\u00e9 les ponctuelles parties de cuivres<\/em>&#8211; et un Roger Daltrey au sommet de sa forme vocale.<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-7732-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Extrait17062018.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Extrait17062018.mp3\">https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Extrait17062018.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bref, pr\u00e8s de 50 ans apr\u00e8s, l&rsquo;album porte plut\u00f4t bien son \u00e2ge et s&rsquo;\u00e9coute plus facilement que l&rsquo;autre op\u00e9ra-rock du groupe, \u00ab\u00a0Quadrophenia\u00a0\u00bb, au livret pourtant plus vraisemblable.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/WhoLive1969.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7736\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/WhoLive1969.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"757\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/WhoLive1969.jpg 757w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/WhoLive1969-300x142.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 757px) 100vw, 757px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A peine tomb\u00e9 du lit \u00e0 une heure presqu&rsquo;inavouable, et apr\u00e8s voir pris ma dose de caf\u00e9ine matinale &#8211;un double expresso comme chaque jour-, c&rsquo;est \u00e0 un op\u00e9ra-rock que j&rsquo;ai consacr\u00e9 mon temps jusqu&rsquo;ici !
