Emil Gilels, Pr\u00e9sident du jury, engagea sa responsabilit\u00e9 personnelle pour que le prix lui soit accord\u00e9, ce qui n&rsquo;allait pas de soi \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque, et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficia de l&rsquo;appui de Krouchthev \u00e0 cette occasion.<br \/>\nLa m\u00eame ann\u00e9e et \u00e0 la suite de ce concours, RCA enregistra cet album, pour lequel une autorisation sp\u00e9ciale de sortie du territoire sovi\u00e9tique fut accord\u00e9e au grand chef Kirril Kondrashin &#8211;<em>qui passa d\u00e9finitivement \u00e0 l&rsquo;ouest 20 ans plus tard<\/em>-. La suite de la carri\u00e8re du pianiste fut relativement anecdotique, bien qu&rsquo;il rest\u00e2t adul\u00e9 aux Etats-Unis jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 son d\u00e9c\u00e8s en 2013;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2022 le concerto pour piano de Schumann<\/strong> par Byron Janis &#8211;<em>1962<\/em>-, autre grand pianiste am\u00e9ricain de la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode, et qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficia pendant quelques temps des conseils de Vladimir Horowitz himself, qui l&rsquo;appr\u00e9ciait beaucoup. La carri\u00e8re de Janis fut pr\u00e9matur\u00e9ment perturb\u00e9e par la maladie et le conduisit vers l&rsquo;enseignement. Tr\u00e8s belle version de ce concerto, fulgurante et tr\u00e8s bien accompagn\u00e9e, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant de surcro\u00eet d&rsquo;un excellent enregistrement;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2022 le second concerto pour piano de Liszt<\/strong> par Wilhelm Kempff et l&rsquo;orchestre symphonique de Londres dirig\u00e9 par Anatol Fistoulari &#8211;<em>disque paru initialement chez Decca et repris dans ce coffret publi\u00e9 par Deutsche Grammophon<\/em>-. Sibelius disait de Kempe qu&rsquo;il jouait \u00ab\u00a0non pas comme un pianiste, mais comme un v\u00e9ritable artiste\u00a0\u00bb.<br \/>\nLe contenu de ce coffret est assez in\u00e9gal, mais les concertos de Beethoven et ce second de Liszt sont tout-\u00e0-fait r\u00e9ussis &#8211;<em>le premiers concertos de Brahms et de Liszt, en revanche, manquent s\u00e9rieusement de panache et d&rsquo;abattage, \u00e0 mes oreilles au moins\u2026<\/em>-. J&rsquo;aime beaucoup cette oeuvre, qui fut l&rsquo;une de mes toute premi\u00e8res d\u00e9couvertes musicales vers 6 ou 7 ans &#8211;<em>ce qui, \u00e9videmment, ne nous rajeunit pas&#8230;<\/em>-;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2022<\/strong> enfin, <strong>le second concerto pour piano de Brahms<\/strong> par Emil Gilels et Fritz Reiner et l&rsquo;orchestre de Chicago &#8211;<em>1958<\/em>&#8211; trouve ici une interpr\u00e9tation proche de l&rsquo;id\u00e9al, dans des tempi relativement vifs mais avec une hauteur de propos r\u00e9ellement impressionnante !<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pour \u00e9gayer ce tr\u00e8s beau d\u00e9but de matin\u00e9e estivale, d\u00e9but\u00e9e il y a fort t\u00f4t, j&rsquo;ai retenu pour ma playlist une s\u00e9rie de concertos dans des versions \u00ab\u00a0old school\u00a0\u00bb plut\u00f4t r\u00e9jouissante ! &#8211;Cliquer sur l&rsquo;image pour la voir en plus grand-.
