Est-ce un long po\u00e8me symphonique, une symphonie curieusement construite ou simplement une suite orchestrale suivant un programme d\u00e9taill\u00e9 : le compositeur d\u00e9crit 22 \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9tapes\u00a0\u00bb de cette travers\u00e9e des Alpes d\u00e9butant au petit matin et s&rsquo;achevant \u00e0 la nuit tomb\u00e9e, avec ruisseaux, cascades, for\u00eats, orages\u2026. De quoi mettre en avant toute la palette des couleurs d&rsquo;un orchestre tr\u00e8s fourni &#8211;<em>cordes nombreuses, 2 \u00e0 4 harpes, cors des Alpes, machine \u00e0 vent\u2026<\/em>-pour ce merveilleux orchestrateur !<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Longtemps, l&rsquo;oeuvre fut d\u00e9laiss\u00e9e au disque &#8211;<em>m\u00eame si le plus ancien enregistrement, quasiment introuvable aujourd&rsquo;hui, date de 1925, et constitue un document sonore pr\u00e9cieux mais peu plaisant techniquement<\/em>&#8211; et il a fallu attendre 1941 pour que Richard Strauss l&rsquo;enregistre lui-m\u00eame dans des conditions techniques d\u00e9centes -belle version, rapide, directe et d\u00e9cant\u00e9e.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce jour, j&rsquo;ai refait le voyage cinq fois, au travers de cinq versions d&rsquo;un int\u00e9r\u00eat variable. &#8211;<em>Cliquer sur l&rsquo;image pour la voir en plus grand<\/em>-.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Playlist19042020.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9459\" src=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Playlist19042020.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"391\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Playlist19042020.jpg 1486w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Playlist19042020-300x156.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Playlist19042020-1024x533.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latelierdediablotin.fr\/WordPress3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Playlist19042020-768x400.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La plus belle selon moi est en quelque sorte un document historique : c&rsquo;est le premier CD de musique classique publi\u00e9 par la firme \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tiquette jaune et le seul enregistrement de cette oeuvre par un chef qui ch\u00e9rissait le compositeur : la version de <strong>Karajan<\/strong>, d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e2g\u00e9 et malade, est d&rsquo;une intensit\u00e9 qu&rsquo;on ne trouve nulle part ailleurs, et il est le seul \u00e0 rendre pleinement justice, \u00e0 la fin de l&rsquo;oeuvre, aux indications de \u00ab\u00a0douce extase\u00a0\u00bb port\u00e9es sur la partition &#8211;<em>cf. la vid\u00e9o ci-dessous \u00e0 partir de 41:00 environ pour les impatients qui n&rsquo;auraient pas envie d&rsquo;entendre l&rsquo;oeuvre en entier\u2026<\/em>-. Les cordes sont br\u00fblantes, les cuivres et les bois somptueux et l&rsquo;\u00e9motion palpable.<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/P1UPPFILPeA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En comparaison, j&rsquo;ai \u00e9cout\u00e9 quatre enregistrements r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par la Staatskapelle de Dresde, ce remarquable orchestre qui cr\u00e9a l&rsquo;oeuvre vous la direction du compositeur. la version de <strong>B\u00f6hm<\/strong> &#8211;<em>bon sp\u00e9cialiste et ami du compositeur<\/em>&#8211; para\u00eet tr\u00e8s terre-\u00e0-terre, et pas tr\u00e8s bien enregistr\u00e9e de surcro\u00eet, y compris eu \u00e9gard aux conditions techniques de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque; celle de <strong>Rudolf Kempe<\/strong>, autre tr\u00e8s grand chef straussien, para\u00eetra \u00e9l\u00e9gante et raffin\u00e9e, mais moins engag\u00e9e. J&rsquo;aime beaucoup, aussi, la version de <strong>Sinopoli<\/strong>, autre \u00e9minent interpr\u00e8te du compositeur, et, pour la bonne bouche et \u00e9couter l&rsquo;oeuvre dans d&rsquo;excellentes conditions techniques -elle le m\u00e9rite-, j&rsquo;ai une tendresse particuli\u00e8re pour une version m\u00e9connue par un chef et un orchestre eux-m\u00eames tr\u00e8s peu connus : l&rsquo;orchestre de Sao Paulo, tr\u00e8s investi sous la direction de <strong>Frank Shipway<\/strong> : c&rsquo;est vraiment tr\u00e8s bien !<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jolie promenade \u00e0 travers les Alpes aujourd&rsquo;hui, avec cette oeuvre \u00e9trange et monumentale de Richard Strauss : \u00ab\u00a0Eine Alpensinfonie\u00a0\u00bb, dont le statut est relativement ind\u00e9fini.
